Privacy policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
Ready Reports ("we", "us", "our") operates readyreports.com.au. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use the site, buy from us or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us when you order: name, email and phone.
- Order details: the property address, a description of your project, answers to our questions, and any plans or files you upload.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive the payment status, amount and billing details Stripe shares with us, but not your full card number.
- Communications you send us.
- Usage information collected automatically: pages viewed, addresses searched, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and how you reached the site.
How we use it
- To prepare and deliver your documents and quotes, and to email you about your order.
- To take payment, prevent fraud and keep records we are required to keep, such as tax records.
- To run, secure and improve the site and our services.
- To measure our advertising, for example whether a visit from an ad led to an order.
- To comply with the law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We will only send you marketing email if you have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed with service providers that help us run Ready Reports:
- Stripe, for payments.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores orders and files.
- Google, for address search (Google Maps Platform) and advertising measurement (Google Ads).
- PostHog, for product analytics.
- Chatwoot, for live chat: the messages you send us and the page you sent them from.
- Consultants or contractors who help prepare your documents, under confidentiality obligations.
Addresses and lot details are looked up against public NSW government planning data. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or restructure of our business.
Overseas storage and processing
Some of our providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and similar technology
We and our providers use cookies and similar technology to keep the site working, remember your order in your browser, measure visits and see which ads lead to orders. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site may not work fully without them. You can manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including the documents we prepare, for as long as needed to provide the service, deal with questions about it and meet legal requirements (generally at least five years for tax records). After that we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections, private order links and restricted staff access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below; we may need to confirm your identity and will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
Children
Our services are not intended for people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date.
